47C52000 Achieving Strategic Advantage Through Distributed Technologies

GD Star Rating

  1. The best course of ISB track! Professor is the best I’ve ever had, gives a real view on management problems is practice, not just a bunch of theories. The course requires a lot of reading (about 5 articles for each class) and the exam is a hell with really challenging and controversial questions about cases discussed in the course – for example for Zara case – the background is that the company is really decentralized and it’s its competitive advantage – the question was something like ”convince the management that they need to hire an enterprise architect and pay him €200k per year”. The course was probably the most useful in my entire uni life and for the first time I had a grasp of what management actually feels like.

    Highly recommended!!!

  2. I agree with ITP 2013. One highlight was a negotiation with the class divided in two and each part discussing their end of the situation with the professor and after that actually negotiating a result in groups. A lot of people ”got fired” in the next class.

  3. I totally agree with ITP 2013, this course was excellent! The best part is that lectures were not monologues but conversations! Professor didn’t have lecture slides but he wrote notes to the screen instead. He just guided the conversation in a way that every aspect of each topics were handled. Best course of my entire uni life as well. Requires a lot of work but totally worth it. Professor is really inspiring!
