If you study economics as a major, this course can be very frustrating, since some of the students attending the course have zero base knowledge of economics whatsoever (students with technical background, even though the course prerequisites include principles of economics), and the principles of demand and supply are explained in almost every lecture.

    However, the lecturer Matti Liski is interested in his subject and such enthusiasm is motivating for the student as well (at least for me). In addition, one ”learning element” of the course is reading assignments, which are interesting articles about environmental subjects from economic perspective.

    The workload isn’t overwhelming (especially when working in a group) and the teaching of economics is veeeery basic, so I’d say there are easy credits on offer.
